Instagram Messaging Data

Our Service integrates with the Instagram Messaging API via the Meta Platform to read and respond to Direct Messages sent to our connected business accounts.

What We Collect

When you send a Direct Message to one of our Instagram business accounts, we may collect:

Your Instagram user ID, username, display name, and profile picture URL
The content of messages you send to us (text, images, story replies, reactions)
Message timestamps and conversation metadata

How We Use It

Respond to your messages — we read and reply to Direct Messages you send to our business accounts.
Manage conversations — we organize conversations in an internal inbox to ensure timely responses.
Schedule calls — if you express interest, we may use conversation context to coordinate scheduling.

Storage & Security

Message data is stored in our secured database with encryption at rest
API access tokens are encrypted using Fernet symmetric encryption — never stored in plain text
Access restricted to authorized Company personnel only

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Instagram messaging data with any third parties. It is used exclusively for direct business communication between you and the Company.

Deletion

You may request deletion of your messaging data at any time by emailing systems@dominatemedia.io. We will delete your data within 30 days.

Your Rights

Request access to the Instagram messaging data we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your data
Withdraw consent by blocking or restricting our Instagram account at any time
